Somewhere between 27 August and 22 October of 2017, Germany will hold federal election to choose 631 representatives to Bundestag, a German legislative institution. Major Parties include Christian Democrats(CDU), Social Democrats(SPD), The Left, Greens, Christian Social Union(allied with CDU), Free Democratic Party(Classical Liberals, libertarians), Alternative for Germany(nationalist/anti-immigration). Leading CDU and its leader Angela Merkel are likely to lose seats because of her alleged mishandling of the refugee crisis. As one of Europe's most influential countries, Germany and its election will have significant effects domestically and internationally.
